Hebrews 10:32-39 is a call to lift our eyes off what is temporary and look toward what is eternal. The writer of Hebrews does not sugar-coat life. Following Christ and trusting the promises of God is often hard. Sometimes this is because we aren’t regularly meditating on the words of Christ. Other times we try to distract ourselves, so we don’t have to consider eternity. Living by faith is closely tied to viewing eternity and those who view eternity learn to grow in their faith.
